Why I am a 'non-trinitarian' Seventh-Day Adventist (Part 3)

Monday, February 27, 2012

I remain convinced that Scripture says that there is one God, the Father (1 Cor 8:6, John 17:3, 1 John 5:20) and Jesus is the Son of God (John 3:16, Col 1:1-20, Hebrews 1:1-9, etc). Jesus has a God whom He said is the “only true God” – John 17:3

I find the key to understanding this, is simply understanding the word “Elohim” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elohim) in Hebrew or “Theos” in Greek from which the English word “God” is translated from.
This crumbles the “trinity puzzle”.

I find what the founders of the Seventh-day Adventist church believed in to be biblical based. In my opinion, their views of who God is, were scriptural. I have done extensive search of scripture and so far I have found the Bible to be not contradictory. (If the Bible were a computer program, I could say that it runs perfectly with neither compile-time nor run-time errors.). As such, I can confidently say that I am a non-trinitarian seventh-day Adventist just as the founders of the seventh-day Adventist church were. The shift in our beliefs came not because of “new light” but because of other reasons which history
documents very well.

It is always well documented that in 325AD the Trinity was formulated by the Nicene Council and in 364AD the Council of Laodicea changed the Sabbath to Sunday in honour of the “holy Trinity”- The Douay Catholic Catechism of 1649 http://biblelight.net/DouayCat.htm page 143
states

“Q. What is Sunday, or the Lord's Day in general?
A. It is a day dedicated by the Apostles to the honour of the most holy Trinity, and in memory that Christ our Lord arose from the dead upon Sunday, sent down the holy Ghost on a Sunday, &c. and therefore is called the Lord's Day. It is also called Sunday from the old Roman denomination of Dies Solis, the day of the sun, to which it was sacred.”

In short, I do not believe in the trinity because I find no scriptural basis for this doctrine and historical evidence shows how it was formulated by a council of men in 325 AD Firstly, I believe that all ‘new knowledge’ has to be tried and tested if it conforms to what Scripture alone says (“Sola Scriptura”). And personally, I find the trinity doctrine not conforming to scripture.

It is a historical fact that the verse 1 John 5:7 is controversial. One can read more about this verse on many websites such as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comma_Johanneum: And I quote
“In translations containing the clause, such as the King James Version, 1 John 5:7–8 reads as follows
(with the Comma in bold print):
5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and thesethree agree in one."
”The resulting passage is often viewed as an explicit reference to the Trinity of
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It does not appear in the older Greek manuscripts, nor in the passage as quoted by many of the early Church Fathers. The words apparently crept into the Latin text of the New Testament during the Early Middle Ages, "[possibly] as one of those medieval glosses but were then written into the text itself by a careless copyist. Erasmus omitted them from his first edition; but when a storm of protest arose because the omission seemed to threaten the doctrine of the Trinity, he put them back in the third and later editions, whence they also came into the Textus Receptus, 'the received text'."” {end quote}

You may also read more on http://www.kjv-only.com/doug/1john5_7.html on how this verse was sneaked into Scripture.

Revelation 22:18 warns us
“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”
Historical evidence is there on how people have vainly tried to add to scripture, however we thank God that all this is quite exposed.

In my opinion, we are have different understandings when we say “Jesus is God”. For me, when I say Jesus is God, I mean he is God in nature (Phil 2:6), being the Son of God and it pleased the Father that all his fullness should dwell on him (Col. 1:17). The Bible is consistent that the Father is greater than Jesus our Lord. And the Father is the only true God (“God the Person whose name is Yahweh”). In fact, it is our Lord Jesus in John 17:3 that proclaims that and this is eternal life. We also know that the Father, who is true God is also the God of our Lord Jesus (Rev 3:12).
Unlike the Father, our Lord Jesus does not know some things. For example, our Lord Jesus does not know when the “last day” will be. To quote Mark 12:32 and Matthew 24:36, notice what our Lord Jesus
says:
“But of that day and that hour knows no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son,
but the Father.”

“But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

So I should guess, unless our Lord Jesus was lying (which I certainly believe cannot be the case). So the “all knowing attribute” does not hold. I hope the trinity doctrine still holds on this. There are some things only the Father knows and Jesus said the Father is the only true God. I will say once again, the key to understanding the word “God” is by simply understanding the Hebrew word “Elohim” or the Greek word “Theos” . By saying that the Father is the only true God (John 17:3, 1 Cor 8:6, 1 John 5:20), that does not mean that Jesus is a “false God”, after all Jesus never said that He is God. If anything he always said that He is the Son of God. Remember what he said to Peter. Remember also how Satan tempted him – “If you are the Son of God…?.
Colossians 1:16
“16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created THROUGH him and for him.”

Notice that God created the worlds THROUGH Jesus. Paul emphasizes again this point in Hebrews 1:1-2
“1 In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and THROUGH whom he made the universe.”
I hope we all get the meaning of “THROUGH”. In short God created the worlds THROUGH Jesus, our Lord. No one disputes that. Even John 1:3 says
“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made”.
Notice again “THROUGH”.

Hello Bennett,

Thank you for your thoughts on this blog. I am "Pastor Chick" believing as CSDA (non-Trin). I live in Uganda and also love that part of the world.

You may find much to read about our faith when searching the key words at Google.

i've done my homework too & arrive at the same conclusion as yours but i can't find a nontrinitarian sabbath keeping church? (you are SDA but as far i heard, they are trinitarian)

I'm in the same boat as you guys are. Finding a nontrinitarian sabbath church (except for a Jewish synagogue) is next to impossible around here. How are you guys coping?

Brothers,
do not leave the SDA church, the shaking is coming.

Yes, we have gone a whoring after other strange gods, but remember the ancient Israel, Moses did not depart from them, the fateful prophets never departed from God's people, Daniel who was without fault confessed his sins and of his people.

We must afflict our souls and cry before our God for our leaders, that they may repent, and acknowledge the only true God, the Father.

The straight testimony will cause the shaking, everything that can be shaken, will be shaken. Do not be shaken out because of their sins. Gather together and sigh and cry unto the Lord for all the abominations that are done amongst us, but do not depart.

The Lord IS COMING

thank you for writing this and for those who responded. I'm so glad to know I'm not alone! I've been a closet nontrinitarian for so long and have struggled deeply, and quietly, over this issue as so many inspiring and good thinkers not only embrace the Trinity as if it's unquestionable but also insist that Christian who does not accept it is not a Christian. I pray that there will be courage enough on both sides of the issue to face it honestly, in the search for Truth, and come to an amicable agreement. Christ clearly has the nature of God, but that does not make him God. there is a difference and I think a very significant one not only in our own demonstration of the power of Christianity but also in the ability to reason with and draw all men unto us. Sorry so long, just enthusiastic to know you all are out there! Thank you!

Hey I am so glad I came across this article. This is exactly what my research and prayers have led me to. What you wrote is exactly what I also believe. I live in Toronto and I have searched everywhere for a non-trinitarian church but cannot find one. I'm glad that I'm not alone with this belief. It's just so hard to explain these stuff to trinitarians, they'll say things and stuff that are not even in the bible to prove the trinity. Even in the book of Exodus, God told moses, No one can see the face of God and live. So if Jesus is God then that means the bible contradicts himself. Like you stated earlier Jesus never once claimed that he's God. He claimed that he's the Son of God and the Son of Man. Jesus gave all the glory to the Father(The True GOD)

I have finally found people who have some sense and understanding. I on the other hand have spoken out and do not ever wish to hide my true understanding which was given to me by GOD. We must hold tight and understand that a building does not mean church, we are the church, each and every one of us who finds the narrow path. GOD loves those who search for the truth, who question that which the Spirit rejects. I am also from Toronto as I see one brother is also. With todays technology, we can meet online, we can talk and chat many ways. GOD searches the hearts of man so don't worry and don't stress yourself out. I have been looking for a church and have found two which are the closest to what we believe. One is the Jehovah Witnesses who you should not listen to trinitarians who call them a cult and who say that they do not believe in the biblical Jesus. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not worship on Saturday, the true Sabbath.
There is also a tv show called Beyond Today tv who believe in the sabbath and do not follow the trinity. We must spread this truth and maybe your way is to spread it throughout the internet, since there are millions of lost souls who follow the corruption of the roman church,
I will give you all my email j,p.italy@live.com
We can get together in many other ways since it only requires 2 to fellowship. I hope this post has strengthen d you all and I look forward to hearing from you all. GOD Bless

God bless you Mr. Kankuzi. You have a remarkable insight into the true teachings of Scripture, especially of the teachings of the inerrant word of God, Jesus Christ. In any case, I understand the Sabbath, from the teachings of Jesus, to be a memorial of creation which God only codified for the Jews pending the arrival of Jesus Christ. If you will agree with me, Love of God and of neighbour are the only laws that Jesus expects anyone to keep rigidly in this day of the new covenant. The Sabbath was made for man, and if any man will not keep the Sabbath, I will not worry over his decision. In fact, no one should keep the Sabbath today in the sense of the Mosaic Law. Just as Christians are required to give as they are led by God's Spirit, even on regular and fixed-amount basis, for the sustenance of the church, and yet no Christian is required to pay tithes; I believe that those who have in themselves become the temples of the living God, are not required to keep the law of the Sabbath as the Jews did and still do. I agree with a number of the previous commentors that it is very difficult to find a place of worship where one can join other believers in ministering to God without harbouring a certain feeling of inadequacy or even deceitfulness in one's heart, knowing that there is a big difference between what one truly believes and the fundamental doctrines of such mainstream "Churches." I will also mention that I differ slightly with John Alexander, the previous commentor on the Jehovah's Witnesses. I agree that the Witnesses have a very impressive grasp of the original teachings which were passed down by the apostles. I have in fact, come across no other organisation or denomination that has done better. But I do disagree that the only major deficiency in their doctrines is the non keeping of the Sabbath. There are indeed lots more. This is the same challenge that I find with the Oneness Pentecostals. Just because some individual or denomination or sect does not believe in the clearly human-invented doctrine of trinity does not mean that they have gotten their concepts of God right or that they are right over any other number of issues for that matter. I look forward, however, to lifting my hands one day in worship with fellow believers with whom I am totally or at least very agreed over the fundamental teachings of Scripture. To me, anyone who believes in line with John 17:3 that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that Yahweh God sent him to the world for our redemption is my brother. That belief to me is the fundamental and basis of the Christian faith. All other controversies will naturally fade once we all get this fundamental right. I am likeminded and am also non-trin. Like all of you, my husband and I have struggled to find others with similar views and finding a church is next to impossible. As such, we have not been to church in 7 years. Glad to find others out there, however! Thank you, all.

Hi, I was a trinitarian but from October 2013 I have been searching out the truth and agree with a non trinitarian viewpoint. Some good material is available on www.acts321.org, www.smyrna.org, www.theprophetstillspeaks.org. There is much to learn. I am sad for the state of our SDA Church and the lack of knowledge. I have been doing a survey and the majority (80%) do not realise the founders of the SDA Church were non-trinitarian and would not agree with our 3 of our present 28 fundamental beliefs.

May The Lord lead us into all truth through His Spirit.

Murray.

Unknown Sunday, August 10, 2014 1:47:00 AM

My husband, myself and our grown children are all nontrinitarian, believing firmly in the writings of scripture and the true testimonies of Ellen White and the founders of the SDA. As many nintrinitarians have experienced, when we show or teach/speak truth we are often kicked out, or just quietly shut ourt from fellowship, usually beginning from the leaders of the church.

We now home church, and are connected with many across the world and the country who are fellow sda nontrinitarians. My husband, who has never been a pastor, gets asked to go speak in other countries each year, and we do so, always at our expense. We receive nothing in our miinistry for ourselves. We simply desire to share the Father and Christ in the fullness of their infinite love and truth.

If any would like to join us in either Washington State (Port Angeles) or Pennsylvania (Erie area), we would warmly welcome the opportunity to fellowship with like believers. My parents home church in Wa, where we visit often, and we live in Erie area.

Who is God's true church? Ellen white said this:
"From the beginning, faithful souls have constituted the church on earth. In every age the Lord has had His watchmen, who have borne a faithful testimony to the generation in which they lived." AA 11.2

The true church is the true body of Christ...not the physical institutions, buildings or corporate body of sda....but the people who are faithful to God and who have jesus dwelling in them. We are not to be moved or shaken from this....that we house the living God and his son within us( John 14).

Sabbath Blessings to you all.
Denise Corklin

Ps: look up Restoration Ministries with David Clayton, Howard Williams. Many sermons available online with youtube. A few sermons by my husband, Ken Corklin also available.

Coming Home Ministries in Wenatchee Washington also an excellent resource and they host yearly camp meetings.

I am SDA and do not believe in the trinity, investigative judgement or that ellen white what was a prophet(although some of her writings appeal to me)...going to church is difficult when all you hear is trinity ideology in the sermons...and yet there is no concrete scriptural evidence to support this ideology...I believe in the advent message but no longer can attend services that involve teaching such a false doctrine :(

Murray Wednesday, September 17, 2014 2:52:00 PM

The 2300 day prophecy in Daniel ends in 1844. If there is no investigative judgment, then what of this prophecy? (to which Jesus is central)

Why invest our resources and time in trivial things these are fundemental beliefs, every good house have orders, too much breaking away from the organization, people this is what saton use to corrupt souls and to divide us. We should always remember the sabbath or the church names eg sda, seventh day baptiist, seventh day church of god among others will not save us, its life we live base on the principles of the bible. We make christinity so complicated So many of us will be lost, Spending or wasting time like scientist trying to unravel Gods mystery, Dont be like the five foolish virgins Go out in the vineyards and tell people about Jesus's love for us, the faith we have in him, and the blesseth hope we are aspiring for after death. People live by faith known for love and liberate with home. Tesda.

Bennett Kankuzi Tuesday, March 10, 2015 8:32:00 AM

I believe that who God is not a mystery but what God is (his nature), is indeed a mystery. God (Yahweh or Jehovah) has revealed His identity in the Bible so many times. And indeed we are called to worship a God we know and not an unknown God. Remember what Paul said to the Athenians in Acts 17 - "22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you." We can not hide under the veil of mystery to worship a trinity which in my understanding is not found in the Bible. In fact Paul reveals the identity of this God (Yahweh or Jehovah) in Acts 17:29-31 - "29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. 30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

John Seremani Tuesday, July 28, 2015 1:01:00 PM

Amen Bennett, this is John from Nairobi Kenya. Similar journey, hostility from friends, and even my girlfriend. We are studying though and am sure in time God will show these things to her. God bless you all. Don't leave the organization unless you get kicked out...and remember when sharing this truth, not to become theologians but Christians, share only with those who are ready to hear, and only those who are willing are ready. Don't blaze a matter unless God clearly wants you to do that, and since we now better understand who God is, and who His Spirit is to us, we may more clearly hear His voice as we did when we first understood this truth.

Blessings brethren. Let God lead the revival of His church, let's not get ahead of God, but work with Him by His Spirit which is in Jesus, and in us through our Lord.

only two beings share the eternal throne - father and son.

if you want to make EGW into a false prophet, first you must make her a prophet - which is a role she never once claimed.

Leroy Froom (a Jesuit by his actions) spent most of last century steering the church body into trinitarianism. watch the Total Transformation video series by Walter Veith ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEZVzFbUYxM&list=PLmtiSpKWaiFCaC8HjaI1JUjjVbFBISGra ) to understand why. uniquely for a human organisation, the 7DA church organisation is a precise antetype for the tribes of Israel as the type. the organisation is doing exactly the same kinds of things in exactly the same order (good, bad or indifferent).

with the above in mind, she exactly predicted 9/11 in many ways more than a century before it happened, yet the organisation went to the trouble of denying it.

as Mr Petrovic said, the shaking is coming, very soon, and who am I to guess its exact nature?

locals look at me oddly whenever I contravene trinitarian thinking, however after having survived a passive-aggressive narcissistic wife, honesty is my only policy. taking aboard the trinity is a step towards taking about the mark of the beast. not for me.

Redmond WA is about 20 kilometres North of here, in which town there are zero Microsoft offices (hello from Albany, Western Australia).

I live in Alberta Canada. My local church pastor has told me I may no longer teach Sabbath school or preach in church simply because I have done what all the 7th day Adventist pioneers did- reject the doctrine of the trinity. I still go to church though, because I have a daughter who I feel must be brought up in church. I have told her and my wife the truth about God; 1. the Supreme God is the Father, 2. Jesus is the divine begotten Son of the father having inherited his nature, 3. the holy spirit is the omnipresence and power of the father and the son. I recommend www.revelation1412.org.

The debate should end with this, the original mindsets!!!!! It is in getting acquainted to that cultural reality that allows us to get closer to an unedited view of our Creator's Word and Works; and isn't that what we are called to do. Simple, let YHWH (the original Word and works of Elohim) teach us.... always keeping in mind that all else has been edited through the lense of it's translator; a Greek or Latin or German or French or English lense. Paraphrasing YH'shua (YH's salvation), "May Your Will (the Father's Word and Works) be done on earth (in us) as it is in heaven." Amein, amein. May YHWH's kingdom come an His Will be done, in YH'shua. www.thehebrewmessiah.com.

Blessings Brothers and Sisters, in North America, look up the Church of God of Abrahamic Faith. They are non-trinitarian with churches throughout the US and eastern Canada. One of their churches has an online live service weekly: lakeshorebible.net

In Love, please consider your actions in support of a religion and pastors that teach the trinity. They do not serve our God, and their Jesus is not our Jesus. Paul reiterated the warnings well about a false version of doctrine, gospel, and Jesus. Do not go to a false church that you feel is false, instead separate your household. I believe we are glorifying satan by attending his version of Jesus and God. Teach your children and wives through your own hope and faith and resulting good works.

Just a thought Saturday, January 30, 2016 4:51:00 AM

I am delighted to find more Bible based support of non-trinitarian theology. My struggle is that after a lifetime of study, I now am also leaning towards a more Calvinist theology. The more I seek God's real truth, the more I conclude that God intends for much of His truth to remain a mystery until such time as He chooses to clarify it. I sure don't understand why, but Jesus himself made many statements that he felt no need to clarify. Oh how I wish I could find a church again the really abided by the beliefs of unity in the essentials, respectful support of differing conclusions in the non-essentials or the debatable scriptures. One thing I know, God does not want His people being hostile toward each other because of unproductive arguments over points of non-essential theology.

I too have just come across this wonderful truth of about God. I'm having a marvelous time studying the scriptures now. It's amazing how the scales have fallen from my eyes and now can read and see Him so clearly as the one true God and the only Begotten Son. I'm searching for a group to visit this Sabbath that are also non-Trinidadians in Charlotte, NC. Keep studying friends and sharing this truth about the Father. The devil has stolen a march upon this church and the omega of apostasy is quite startling. So just keep in mind how we were when under that delusion. I wish we could all get together.:) Maybe we could Pariscope? Anyway be blessed my brethren.

I also am a non-trinitarian Sabbath keeper. I am looking for a place to worship with like minded individuals, however I am finding this is a difficult task. I am in Atlanta GA. We must remain faithful, and adhere to the TRUTH. My prayer is that Jehovah will guide each of us to others who share beliefs of Jehovah the Father Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit (Jehovah's spirit which guides and directs our mind), and the keeping The Sabbath Holy. So that we may enjoy the fellowshipping and building each other up spiritually.

Hello Brothers and Sisters. I am not sure if this thread is still alive but I will like to say how blessed I was to read the article and the comments. My wife and I am also non-tinitiarian SDAs and have been for about 3 years. Personally, when I first came across the truth, I was mad and very skeptical. I said: "How can the SDA Church be so wrong when we had the Messenger of God as a guide for many years?" Then, as I studied, I found out the Ellen White and the Pioneers were never trinitarians. What a relief that was. But more than that, the scales literally fell from my eyes as someone has already stated. Almost ALL the verses that Trinitarians quote to support the trinity said just the opposite! As for the hostility, I did not expect it to be so strong, but it is. Sometimes vocal and other times soft but persistent. What I find, is that many are not willing to study for themselves because it is easier and more convenient to tow the official line. And many seem to worry about what others will say about them. The first quarter 2017 study is about the Holy Spirit, so I thought this is the time to share some truth that I have found in the word of God during the lessons. But boy, was I wrong! Angry looks and verbal opposition even when I am quoting from the Bible. And I am left thinking- how can something so clear not be understood- even resisted and interpreted to fit into a trinity? But we must continue to pray for wisdom to share what God has given us without bitterness or animosity for we are all brethren. Some are searching still and it is only the Spirit of God who will direct and teach them the truth. I so wish we could had a "non-trinitarian SDA line" where like-minded non trinitarian SDAs can meed and share ideas and the word of God and encourage each other. I think one of the many Free Conference lines now available online can serve this purpose. I am curious as to what you all think about this idea. Finding a non-trinitarian SDA congregation is a bit like looking for a Protestant church in Vatican City! (maybe not as hard but you get the idea..). God bless you all!

As this Sabbath begins I pray for my fellow brothers and sisters whom have received the light about the Trinity. We must be firm and not sway with the masses. It's not easy, even singing in songs of praise and worship will evoke feelings of uneasiness, because they are ALL to Jesus, not Jehovah.

We must continue to pray for continued enlightment.

Happy Sabbath

Boateng, you are so correct about the hostility. Our pastor actually started yelling at us during fellowship lunch, because we were talking to one of the elders and his wife about it. He actually likened the belief of our pioneers to that of Jehovah Witness theology. It really is very sad how deceived we have been as a church. I've tried to share more information with him via email and with others as much as they will let me. But truly people are just not interest in what you have to say. They feel as thought you are attacking their church, but they do not realize that the church that God raised up is not the same church today. We just have to keep praying for them.

I love my church. Whether it be self-supporting, independent, official ECT.
It's unfortunate how divided we are but ancient Israel was no different.
Let's keep praying for the latter rain brothers and sisters..
For there is one God the Father, and one Lord Jesus Christ... Amen.

I and my birth family, as well as my family by marriage are all non-trinitarian Seventh Day Adventists. We are blessed in that my husband Ken, is a humble, yet gifted speaker and teacher, and yet still we have few others to fellowship with on a regular basis. We attend, and my husband is often asked to speak at , various small camp gatherings in the USA, JAmaica, Australia, Hungary, Germany and Romania. In the US we have yearly meetings in Spokane and Wenatchee Washington, as well as in the Roan Mtn region of Tennessee. We know many like believers from many states in the US, but yes, each is generally isolated in small cloisters of believers often consisting of just one or two families....but sometimes as many as 20. If you are looking to find more believers in your area you might want to contact Howard Williams of Restoration Ministries. His website is http://www.restorationministry.com. Howard has been helping to connect fellow believers, particularly here in the US. He is a sweet, and jovial dear friend of my family and you can easily find him and his sermons on YouTube. I know most of the families and individuals who hold to the truth are sincerely hungry for fellowship . It's time, I believe, to start reaching out and making connections with our true brothers and sisters. I got on today once again searching for myself of any connection with others. I hope the moderator of this website will allow for the posting of my two locations in hopes of connecting with others in these ares. May we all be blessed by the loving mercies of our Almighty Father, and his true Son, Jesus Christ . Happy Sabbath to all.

For persons looking for additional sermons to help grow their faith in the Father and the Son, there is a former Adventist pastor who has been preaching this message for the last 40 years. His name is Alex Ortega and I've left the link below to a youtube channel with his audio sermons, as well as a website. His messages are biblical and follow the Spirit of Prophecy:

Muli bwanji, Bennet! Tili bwino nditu. Our family enjoyed six wonderful years in Malawi, dziko lokongola! Your banner picture of Mulanji brings back many fond memories. Since 2007 we, too, discovered the joy of truly fellowshipping with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father in truth and love (1John 1:3; 2John3). It has cost us our church membership, but we are still Seventh-day Adventists--original, traditional ones and find great comfort in knowing that the founders of this movement were grounded in the Scriptures and recognized only what they called "a Christian trinity"--the Father, His Son (the one mediator between God and men), and us! Ellen White said several times that John 17 should be our church creed (3SM p.21, ST May 2, 1900). Jesus summarized this relationship in the final verse of that chapter: "that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." The Father's love is in His Son, and God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, Abba, Father (Gal 4:6). We continue to pray for our church and it leadership. They are in great danger if they do not repent and confess like all those who met Jesus in the New Testament that "truly, this man was the Son of God" and as Peter said, "the Son of the living God", or as Jesus said he was the Son of the one true God. With internet places where minds can meet, we can encourage each other and enjoy sharing. Pitani bwino! Posachedwa tidzapita kwathu.

I agree with Denise Corklin and Abigail. Abigail, I have recently found Alex Ortega and have been so happy to hear his truly deep understanding of Ellen White's writings, especially regarding her non-trinitarian faith. The trinity misconception has increasingly swept the Advent movement for the past 3 generations. Today seems the Father's timing to uncover this deception. And Denise, I certainly look forward to hearing your husband's sermons on the web address you listed above. I have been encouraged to hear all the awaking interest in 1) the one true God, 2) His Son, and 3) the soul(s) walking with the Son (through His Spirit). This is the only true biblical three-some. Its Jesus who suffered for us that can intercede for us, not a third god who never suffered for us. Alex Ortega has a website with many folks who comment, but it seems glutted and confusing. Nevertheless, it means than a multitude of others are filing in behind Jesus the only begotten Son of God.

We were trying to help a Jahovah's Witness guy on a Whatsapp Bible Study group with the understanding of the Trinity. I read through the New Testament and to my surprise I did not see the Trinity. What most people is the Trinity is just number three. If you read the definition before reading the Bible, you will see the error. It was confusing, but I decided to study The Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelation. I have come to realize that Christ was coming back to us in the Spirit. A deeper understanding of John 14 and not just being caught up on "another Comforter" will reveal that Jesus is the one who was to manifest himself to the desciples. The word comforter is the same as the word advocate in 1 John 2:1. I am now at peace with my understanding through watching Nader Mansour, David Clayton, Alex Ortega, Bill Pinto and recently Daniel Mesa. As I read through the Bible the deception becomes very obvious. I thank God for you all. Keep spreading the good news about the Father and the Son.

Its good to find that I am not alone. "The Father and The Son alone are to be worshiped."
We were trying to help a Jehovah's Witness with understanding the trinity doctrine. I decided to study the topic through reading the New Testament. There were too many contradictions. I smelt a deception. I decided to do a dedicated study of the Holy Spirit from Genesis to Revelation. I did not see God the Holy Spirit as they want us to see. I saw the Spirit of God. I also see The Son of God, and not God the son. If, and, when Jesus ceases to be the literal Son of God then simple scriptures like John 3:16 lose their meaning. It was confusing, but I thank God for Restoration Ministries, Revelation 1412, Alex Ortega, Terry Hill, and recently Daniel Mesa on Youtube. I am now an established believer in the One True God and His Son. I am no longer an antichrist (1 John 2:22-23). Let's spread the word about the God who loved us and send His only begotten Son. People need to know. I cannot keep it to myself.

The enlightenment is getting brighter, and brighter, many are genuinely searching, and seeking
the TRUTH. We must continue to do Jehovah's (YAWEH's), will and speak about these truths
as He guides each of us to do so.
Have a blessed Sabbath

Hello brother! I am a seventh-day adventist too. And recently i have studied this trinity doctrine and im now convinced of its error. May i ask how now do you keep the Sabbath? Have you found a church that is non-trinitarian, sabbath keeper and are now members of that church?or do you do home church? Coz my concern is my son. I dont want to shock him too soon that i no longer feel like attending our local SDA church. Any advice that you can give. Thank you very much! Blessings from above!
